Saturn's Rings:

            When space probes passed Saturn late last century, they sent pictures of complex and intricately inner-woven rings made from billions of individual particles. These particles shown young age!

            Scientists were amazed at the appearance of turbulence and instability in Saturn's rings because they had been taught for a long time that the solar system was over 5 billion years old!

            They assumed to find the rings around Saturn to be stable because it had many billions of years to stabilize its orbits. That is, if evolution teachings were correct.

            It was thought the rings of Saturn were leftover debris after the formation of the planet and not ‘designed’ that way, but the orbits of these particles of Saturn's rings, is shocking! After applying the laws of physics to their evolutionary theory, the particles should have disappeared a long time ago.

            Bible believers are not surprised that Saturn’s rings are younger than NASA thought! We know God created in six days only thousands of years ago based on so much evidence! Matter is decaying too rapidly to be billions of years old, and we see evidence everywhere pointing to a young earth and solar system!

            The rings of Saturn are showing us that they are only a few thousand years old; what we see is consistent with known physical laws as well. So once again, science and the Bible go together like peanut butter and jelly!

            Scientists were able to do some math and realized that Saturn’s gravity is vacuuming up its own rings. NASA scientists were able to estimate an approximate figure how fast it vacuums and how much material is sucked in.

            Imagine the shock when they realized that according to their results from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center that the rings of Saturn lose six Olympic-sized swimming pools-worth of material every hour!

            This would mean that the rings could not possibly be 4 billion or even 400 million years old. Scientists have concluded that they are actually not even older than 100 million.

            The rings really look young and some of their math isn't aligning with their billion years theory to allow enough time for all life forms today to slowly evolve into its current state. So next time you are told that our solar system is billions of years old, we know that their own math isn't lining up to what we are being told!

            We learned that the rings of Saturn are appearing much younger than what scientists think. They will continue to try to write new ideas and stories explaining away the young appearance of Saturn's rings. Why don't they just put a different date upon it?             

            Why don’t they recognize that God created it?

            Maybe scientists are too stubborn to change their views.

Remember Naaman the Syrian who had leprosy and wanted cured so badly that he contacted the King of Israel he was so desperate? He assumed he would be healed a specific way but was left disappointed! Elisha sent his messenger who told Naaman to wash in the Jordan seven times to be healed. And Jordan was a muddy dirty river! No way!

            Why couldn’t he go to a pretty clear river? And why didn’t Elisha come and pray over him by himself? Naaman was almost too proud to be healed! How silly is that?

            Yet, people do that all the time. They don’t want to come to God the way Jesus says. They try to make up their own way out of their troubles with God.

The Jordan River

            They want to either pretend they are not sick with sin and need salvation or come up with their own way to cure their sin, (which doesn’t work) Naaman had a specific view that almost made him die.

            Sometimes, we must humble ourselves to accept truth without assuming things must be a certain way!

            In this instance, we can apply a lot of humility in different areas of our lives.

            We have to be willing to change our lives when we read something in the Bible that tells us to do something.

            Scientists do not want to change their opinions to fit with the science data. Instead, they would rather twist the data and truth trying to explain away the facts to fit their wrong views that were made before they had the facts!

            Christians should not make the same mistake, but always be willing to obey and comply with the Bible at face value.

            Not try to twist it or make it fit with a belief we already had been told about outside of God’s Word. It gets dangerous and becomes a false belief or position.

            Just like science defines the truth and we have to take it like it is, the Bible must be our standard that we live on and base what we believe from what we read in the Word of God!

            Let us read God’s Word and be willing to be changed and humbly obey what we read.

            When we change to God’s Word it is called conforming to the Bible. And Conforming to be like Jesus. This is what God wants us to do.
